The ancestors of today’s owners were responsible for surveying the entire district in 1866 and given the choice of any farm they decided that this was the loveliest of them all. As you look at the stunning views you can understand why – Avoca and Snowdon peaks tower overhead and waterfalls cascade down into valley streams. The farm is still owned by the same family as those early settlers and today they are well known for their quality wool-producing sheep as well as for breeding stud Sussex cattle and stud Dormer sheep.
This original farmhouse has been renovated and has six spacious bedrooms with Queen size beds, a wonderful entertainment area with a pool table, DSTV, bar and outdoor braai on a balcony that looks up to the majestic Avoca Peak. The kitchen is spacious, with underfloor heating and a large family table where everyone can get involved in preparing food or simply sitting and observing. The rooms are clean and spacious and have beautiful views.
