Avoca Millerd Mountain Lodge is the original farmhouse which has been renovated and has six spacious bedrooms with one double bed and five queen size beds, a wonderful entertainment area with a pool table, Wi-Fi, DSTV, bar and outdoor braai on a balcony that looks up to the majestic Avoca Peak. The kitchen is spacious, with underfloor heating and a large family table where everyone can get involved in preparing food or simply sitting and observing. The rooms are clean and spacious and have beautiful views.

Avoca Millerd Mountain Lodge is also situated next to a freshwater stream from the Avoca valley. You alone have access to this pristine valley where you can walk, cycle, fish, relax, swim and generally lose yourself in the beauty of the oldest farm in the district. For those interested in fishing, you have the sole right to 12 km of private Trout fishing and can add to your day by swimming in the numerous river pools that form part of the river. You’ll be guaranteed an unforgettable stay with guided hikes up to different waterfalls and stunning views!

Please note: Accommodation is simple farm-style self-catering. Cell phone reception is limited to “Wi-Fi calling” at and close to the Lodge where there is reception. Wood is provided, and the lodges are partially serviced daily.

Travelling with higher ground clearance vehicles is recommended, and 4x4s are best in the rainy season.
